Joints have become very common in VRF air conditioning systems. Joints are needed when more than one space needs to be cooled or heated at the same time. The main purpose is to separate or combine the refrigerant. It is used in copper pipe installations to separate the refrigerant fluid coming from a single line into two lines or to reduce the fluid coming from two lines to a single line.
